Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-10-04
These terms are an agreement between you and Appurv Saini IT, trading as Aether-Mind AI ("PenMyBook", "we", "us"), a sole proprietorship registered in Poland at Borówki 16, 05-500 Mysiadło, Poland (NIP 8971827479, REGON 528006318), for your use of PenMyBook at https://penmybook.ai. By creating an account or using the service you accept them.
1. The service
PenMyBook is an AI-assisted tool for writing long-form books. You plan a book with our assistant, we research and generate the chapters you approve, and you can edit the result and export it as a PDF, a print-ready paperback interior, a Kindle file or an EPUB.
The text and images are produced by AI models. They can contain errors, outdated facts or passages similar to existing works. You are the author and publisher of anything you export: review it before you rely on it or publish it.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. If you use PenMyBook for a company or team, you confirm you may bind it to these terms. Keep your sign-in secure — you are responsible for activity on your account.
3. Payments — Merchant of Record
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Your purchase is also governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. Paddle calculates and collects any applicable sales tax or VAT at checkout, on top of the listed price.
4. Prepaid usage credit
PenMyBook is pay-as-you-go. You buy prepaid usage credit in US dollars (minimum $10) and we deduct the listed price each time you use a paid feature. All prices are on our Pricing page. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
Prepaid usage credit:
- can be used only for PenMyBook services;
- is not money, e-money or a gift card, has no cash value, and cannot be transferred, sold, or withdrawn;
- does not expire while your account is open;
- is refundable only as set out in our Refund Policy, and only to the original payment method.
Promotional credit (for example a welcome or goodwill grant) and the weekly free allowance have no cash value and are never refunded. We may change prices at any time; a change never affects charges already made, and a book already generating keeps the price it started with.
5. Teams
A team (organisation) shares one credit balance. Its owner and admins may add credit; only the owner may request a refund. Custom pricing for a team, where agreed, is shown in the product.
6. Your content
You keep all rights in what you give us (topics, notes, links, files) and in the books generated for you. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display that content only to provide the service to you. We do not sell your content and we do not train AI models on it.
You are responsible for having the rights to anything you upload or link to, and for how you use and publish the output.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use PenMyBook to create or request:
- sexual content involving minors, or explicit pornography;
- instructions for making weapons, explosives or illegal drugs;
- content that plans or incites violence, promotes self-harm, or attacks people for a protected characteristic;
- instructions for serious crime or fraud;
- content using a real person's likeness or identity without their consent, or that impersonates them;
- academic work you intend to submit as your own (essays, theses, coursework);
- material that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy.
Books are written in English. We screen requests and output automatically. If a chapter is stopped by our content filter, that chapter's charge is returned to your balance (see the Refund Policy). We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we may freeze a balance tied to a chargeback or suspected fraud.
8. Availability
We work to keep PenMyBook running, but it is provided "as is" and may change, pause or have errors. When a paid step fails on our side, we return its charge to your balance as described in the Refund Policy.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
10. Closing your account
You can delete your account from your profile. Deletion has a 72-hour cancel window and then a 30-day grace period before your data is permanently erased. Remaining credit is forfeited on deletion — request a refund of any refundable balance first.
11. Changes
We may update these terms; we will show the new date above and tell you about material changes before they apply to you.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Poland.
- If you are a consumer, this choice never takes away the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live. You may bring a claim in the courts of that country or in the courts of Poland; we may bring a claim against you only in the courts of the country where you live.
- If you use PenMyBook for a business, disputes go to the courts with jurisdiction over our registered address in Poland.
